2015 Dream BIG Raffle Grand Prize Winner: David P.
For the past few years, David buys two tickets for each Boys & Girls Club
raffle – one for his daughter and one for his son. The persistence paid
off in a big way when David was selected as the $1 Million Grand Prize
Winner for the Dream Big Raffle.
“I didn’t expect to get much out of it, but knew it was a good benefit.”
David will use his prize winnings to pay some bills and set aside some
money to help his kids through college.
“I still don’t believe it. You just never expect it to happen. Winning
this prize was a life-changer. Couldn’t ask for more.”
But for David, helping the kids that walk through the doors of a Boys
& Girls Club each day is the best part.
“I’m a working man. People have jobs and have no place for their kids
– to have a place like this to come to that will give them structure in
their lives and will teach them things outside of school, it’s an amazing
2015 Dream BIG 50/50 Add-On Winner: Renick C. (and Charlie)
Renick was driving in a snowstorm when he got the call notifying him that
he was the 50/50 Add-On Prize Winner.
“I literally had to pull over because I thought someone was pulling a
prank on me. I couldn’t believe it.”
Renick grew up going to his local Boys & Girls Club and has been buying
tickets for the raffle for several years to help support an organization
that means a great deal to him.
“Supporting the raffle is helping a kid just like me. Buying a ticket
was like helping a younger version of myself. There’s lots of kids just
like me and it feels great.”
Renick plans to spend the money on a college fund for his son Charlie
and also plans to pay off some debt and give back to his church and other
